TheWorkflow Change That Ended My Client Nudges
If you shoot weddings, you know the texts. "Hey! Just checking in on the photos!" "Any idea when the gallery will be ready?" "How's it going?" They're always sweet, and they always land right when you're buried in an edit.
I used to get them constantly, but about a year ago, I changed one thing about how I deliver galleries, and I haven't gotten a single nudge since. Here's what I do.
Edit a Section, Upload a Section
I already edit in sections because that's how a wedding day naturally flows. I'll finish all the details, then move to getting ready, then the first look, and so on through the day.
So every time I finish a section, I export it from Lightroom and upload it to the client gallery right away. I don't wait until the whole wedding is done.
Why It Works
For you
No more giant export and upload at the end. Instead of one massive job hanging over your head after the edit is finally done, it happens in small, manageable chunks.
You feel accomplished. Every uploaded section is a visible win. On a long edit, that momentum matters so much to me and helps me feel like I'm checking a to-do list as I go.
For your couples
They can see the progress. Clients stop asking where you're at because they already know. They can watch their gallery fill in, so there's nothing to check in about.
They're not overwhelmed. Getting 800+ photos dropped on you all at once is a lot. Getting them a section at a time lets couples slow down and actually enjoy each one.
They share the little moments. Instead of skimming past everything, they'll stop on that darling photo of Grandma and send it to her that day.
Seriously, Just Trust Me
I'm telling you, this changed my life. I promise it will make your life easier and make your clients so happy. They get a real view of how long the editing takes, the excitement of new photos in there every week, and no more guessing when they'll see more memories from the biggest day of their life.
